Studying Groundwater-Lake Interactions: Modern and Holocene Ostracode Records from Elkwater Lake, Alberta. In American Quaternary Association (AMQUA) Program and Abstracts of the Thirteenth Biennial Meeting. p. 149. June 19- 22, 1994, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
Site discussed: Elkwater Lake. Collected modern ostracodes from littoral, wetland and offshore areas. Lake assemblage is quite different to the littoral or wetland assemblages. Examined ostracodes in cores obtained from littoral and deep-water. Assemblages from cores are consistent with those from the modern survey. One ostracode taxon in lake core identified as a salinity indicator. (16/12/2007).
